Marty served on The Rotary Foundation’s Peace-Major Gifts Initiative and its predecessor committees for six years, culminating in the chairmanship (2020-21).
 
Marty served as International Training Leader at the 2018 and 2019 International Assemblies and as Training Leader Support at the virtual 2021 Assembly. She was Trainer for Zones 28/32 in 2020 and 2021. She has presented in breakouts at the Atlanta, Toronto and Hamburg International Conventions as well as at the virtual 2021 Convention. She was in the charter class of North American Zone Innovative Club Advocates (2020), and served as her District’s Growth Chair (2019-20). Earlier, while she was her District’s Foundation Chair (2015-18), Marty wrote and implemented the first online Grants Management Seminar in the Rotary world to be made available via RI’s Learning Center.
 
Marty is a Paul Harris Society member, Major Donor, and charter member of the Legacy Society of the Rotary Foundation.  She and her late husband, Frank, joined Rotary in 2003.
 
Marty is president of the Otto and Fran Walter Foundation, a small humanitarian non-profit that made history in 2021 when it inked a gift to The Rotary Foundation to completely fund a new Rotary Peace Center in the Middle East/North Africa region.  Total value of the gift is $15.5 million, and plans are on track to open the new Peace Center in 2025.

Mário César Martins de Camargo

Mário César Martins de Camargo is a business consultant to the printing industry and former director of Gráfica Bandeirantes, a printing company founded by his father. Under de Camargo’s leadership, the company expanded to be a supplier of printed material for clients in Brazil and elsewhere in South America.
De Camargo attended military school and graduated from a secondary school in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA, during a Rotary Youth Exchange program. He had a yearlong internship at MAN Roland, a printing press manufacturer in Offenbach, Germany, before he earned his undergraduate degree at the Fundación Getulio Vargas’ São Paulo School of Business Administration. He also received his law degree from the Faculty of Law of São Bernardo do Campo.
 
He has led numerous professional associations, including as president of the Brazilian Association of Graphic Technology and ABIGRAF, the Brazilian Printing Industry Association. He was also delegate director of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP) in the National Confederation of Industry, vice president of FIESP, and vice president of the Latin American Confederation of the Printing Industry. He received the Printing Leader of the Americas award from the Printing Association of Florida and the Global Presidential Print Award from NPES, the Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing, and Converting Technologies.
 
De Camargo joined Rotary in 1980 at age 23. A past director and trustee, he will be the fourth RI president from Brazil. He has volunteered for numerous roles including RI learning facilitator, zone coordinator for the Avoidable Blindness Task Force, Latin American coordinator for the Health Concerns Task Force, RI president’s representative, and Council on Legislation representative. He has also served on committees including the RI Membership Growth Committee, The Rotary Foundation Programs Finance Committee, and the International PolioPlus Committee.
 
De Camargo says he is continually impressed by Rotary’s global reach. “With Service Above Self, Rotary has created a unique global identity that is unlike any other I know,” he says. “I think we all need to remember that we belong to an organization that opens up the world to us.”
 
During the start of the COVID pandemic in 2020, de Camargo took on two projects: studying for (and passing) the bar exam — 38 years after attending law school — and learning Italian. He also enjoys reading history and biography books and appreciating good wine.
 
De Camargo has received The Rotary Foundation’s Distinguished Service Award. He and his wife, Denise, are Major Donors and Benefactors of The Rotary Foundation.

Kelly Atkinson
Past District Governor
 
Kelly  C. Atkinson is a native  Utahn  who  has lived  in the  Salt Lake City Valley  his entire life.
 
In  1986, he  became the  first member of his party  elected to the Utah  House of Representatives  from  his area since the Great  Depression. He served in the  House leadership from  1990 to 1996. During  his ten years  in office, the  Deseret News  named Kelly  as "one of the  most effective  legislators" on Capitol Hill each term he served. That same year, Kelly  was approached by  Bob Ladenberger, a hospital administrator,  to help form a new  Rotary  Club  in West Jordan,  Utah.  Kelly  became a chartered  member of the club, established in  1987.
 
In  the  centennial  year  of Rotary,  Kelly  was the District Governor for Utah.  He was the chairman  of the House  of Friendship for the  2007 Rotary International  Convention  held  in Salt Lake City. He and his wife Penny are both Arch Klumph Society Members as well as members of the Paul Harris Society.
 
In  2010, Penny,  Kelly's  wife of 53 years,  was elected as the  first woman  Governor  in the history  of District 5420. Kelly  and  Penny  are among just  a handful  of Rotarian  couples in the  world that  have  both served  as District Governors  and the  first and only  couple to do so in Utah.  Together,  the  Atkinson's  have  hosted 31 Exchange Students from all  over the world. The Atkinson’s have two sons. three grandsons, and one great granddaughter!

Mitty Chang
 
Entrepreneur. Business Owner. Professional Speaker. World Traveler. Rotarian. Rotaractor. Mitty founded his first company at age 13, and joined the Rotary family as an Interactor when he was 14 years old. Mitty has started two Rotaract Clubs, Big West Rotaract MDIO, and two Rotary Clubs. Mitty has served as Rotaract Club President, Rotary Club President, Past Chair of the Rotary International Rotaract and Interact Committee, Assistant Rotary Coordinator, Assistant Public Image Coordinator, and many other leadership roles within the Rotary family. Mitty has spoken to Rotarians around the world at District Conferences, International Conventions, International Assembly, Zone Institutes, and everywhere in-between on membership best practices and on how to attract young professionals into Rotary. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mitty is currently Senior Director of Web & Digital at MicroStrategy, an award-winning business intelligence & artificial intelligence tech company with a global presence and clients that include McDonalds, Sony, Pfizer, Visa, Hilton, and hundreds of other big brands. Mitty is also an active member of the San Francisco Bay Area Rotary Club. In his free time, Mitty loves to food adventure with his wife Yvonne, 2-year old daughter Astrid, and newborn son August.

Tom Thorfinnson
Past General Manager & Chief Strategic Officer Rotary International

Tom Thorfinnson retired in March 2023 having served for 7 years as General Manager and Chief Strategy Officer for Rotary International. In this role Tom helped develop and launch a new vision and action plan for both Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. In addition, Tom managed the strategic engagement team for both organizations focusing on long-term, large scale global relationships.
 
Thorfinnson graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, USA with a degree in mathematics and economics. He received his law degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA.  Prior to joining the staff at Rotary Tom was engaged in the private practice of corporate law in Minneapolis MN USA for 36 years.
 
A Rotarian since 1980, Thorfinnson served as President of the Hopkins MN USA Rotary club in 1992-93 and as 5950 District Governor in 1996-97. At the international level he served on numerous committees for both RI and The Rotary Foundation.  Tom was a member of the board of directors for Rotary in 2009-11 and was Vice President in his second year on the board.  During this time frame Tom was an active member of the Strategic Planning Committee.  In addition, Tom served as a Trustee of the Rotary Foundation in 2015-16.  He stepped down in his second year as Trustee to take on the staff position as Chief Strategy Officer for Rotary.
 
Tom is a level two major donor to TRF, a level four bequest society member and a member of the Paul Harris Society.  Tom has made over 15 volunteer service trips to developing countries focusing primarily on water and sanitation projects.
 
Tom and his wife, Jamie, enjoy time with their family that includes their two daughters, two sons-in-law and four grandchildren.
